Abstract:

To provide a corrosion diagnosis method of a coated pipe for precisely diagnosing whether the coated pipe which is buried at a site or the underground of a building has been corroded.

The method for diagnosing corrosion in the coated pipes 3, 4, 5, where insulating coating is made to a conductive pipe that is buried into a medium 1 partially includes a defect inspecting process for inspecting the presence or absence of coating defects at the buried section of the coated pipes 3, 4, 5; and a corrosion estimation process for estimating the degree of corrosion in the coating defects by referring to a macrocell current value, flowing between a pseudo-defect probe that is installed close to the coating defects and the conductive pipe.
