Title:
METHOD FOR INSPECTING NONAQUEOUS ELECTROLYTIC SECONDARY BATTERY IN SHORT CIRCUIT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2013140759
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To make a judgment on whether or not a failure is occurring in a nonaqueous electrolytic secondary battery, and to determine a cause of a failure with the failure arising.

The method for inspecting a nonaqueous electrolytic secondary battery 1 in short circuit comprises the steps of: putting a voltage between a positive electrode terminal 2 and a negative electrode terminal 3 of the nonaqueous electrolytic secondary battery 1 having no electrolyte charged therein; and making a judgment on whether or not a maximum voltage of the nonaqueous electrolytic secondary battery 1 is lower than a voltage threshold set based on a resistance value of a substance which can enter the battery as a foreign material during its manufacturing process. In this method, if the maximum voltage is below the voltage threshold, it is judged that the entrance of a foreign material causes a short in terms of electrical conduction.
