Abstract:

To provide a method and an instrument for measuring the fluidity and flowing state of a liquid.

A specimen is put in a container part 3, the specimen in the container part 3 is caused to flow out into a flow part 4, and the specimen flowing out of an outlet 5 in an end of the flow part is received by a slope part 6 to cause it to flow again. The specimen flowing on the slope part 6 and flowing out of an end 7 of the slope part is received by a container 8. The specimen flowing out of the outlet part 5 or out of the end 7 of the slope part is detected by an image sensor 10 of a specimen detection means 9, or the specimen flowing on the slope part 6 is detected by a microscope 13 of a specimen observation means 12. Thus detected signals are inputted into a computer 11 to measure the time elapsed between a time point when the specimen is caused to flow out into the flow part 4 and an ending time point when the specimen ceases flowing on the slope part 6. Based on the elapsed time, the fluidity and viscosity, or the rheology constants of the specimen, are operated by the computer 11. Further, the flowing state of the specimen flowing on the slope part 6 is observed by the microscope 13 of the observation means 12.
