Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide EGIII cellulase and xylanase suitable for a washing detergent composition used in a neutral or an alkaline condition.
SOLUTION: This method for isolating substantially pure xylanase from an aqueous mixture of cellulase proteins containing also xylanase is provided by adding an effective amount of a polyethylene glycol in the presence of an inorganic salt to the aqueous mixture consisting of a Trichoderma sp. cultured medium. The process of separating the xylanase component from the aqueous mixture is provided by adding the polyethylene glycol into the aqueous solution of enzymes for forming a two phase system to separate a phase rich in xylanase.
