Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of joining a bumper member capable of simply caulking a bumper stay and a bumper reinforcement by reducing a cost, without being restricted in its shape or material.SOLUTION: In a method of joining bumper materials, a bumper reinforcement 10 having a rear inclined wall 14 provided with a hole portion 16, and a hollow bumper stay 20 are prepared. The bumper stay 20 is inserted in the hole portion 16 of the bumper reinforcement 10 to penetrate the rear inclined wall 14. A rubber 30 is inserted in the inside of the bumper stay 20, and the rubber 30 is compressed in an axis L direction of the bumper stay 20 to be expanded from the inside toward the outside, thereby expanding and deforming at least a part inserted in the hole portion 16 of the bumper stay 20 to be caulked to the rear inclined wall 14.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1B
