PURPOSE: To improve efficiency of joining work and to reduce its cost by forming notches on a terminal and winding a part of a covered wire round the notches and putting electrodes on the vicinities of the notches to press and electrify these.
CONSTITUTION: The notches 12 are formed on the both side parts of the edge 10a of the tabular terminal 10 and one edge of the covered wire 14 is wound round said notches 12. Next, one side of a tabular electrode 16 is put on an intermediate part 10b of the terminal 10 and the end face 18' of a cylindrical electrode 18 is put on the end face 10c of the terminal 10. The terminal 10 is fixed and the electrode 18 is pressed in the arrow F direction by a pressing means and the voltage is impressed on between both the electrodes 16 and 18 and the electricity is turned thereon. An insulator of the covered wire 14 wound round the notches is molten by heat and an conductor therein is exposed and the notches 12 are crushed by the pressing force and heating. The conductor of the covered wire 14 is tightly wound round the notches 12 of the terminal 10 which is crushed and deformed in a narrow groove-shape and the terminal 10 and the covered wire 14 are firmly joined mutually and can be stably connected electrically.
