To provide a method of joining a foamed metal body by which the process of joining a foamed metal body can be simplified, and also, a foamed metal body can firmly be joined to the member to be joined such as a surface material, and to provide a method of producing a foamed metal panel.
A flux-containing powdery mixture obtained by mixing brazing metal powder and foaming agent powder, and also containing flux is prepared. The powdery mixture is solidified into a base material 1 for foaming with a required shape. Next, a surface material 10 as the member to be joined is superposed on the surface of the base material 1 for foaming in a non-joined state. The base material 1 for foaming is heated and foamed in the superposed state. Thus, a foamed metal body 2 is formed, and simultaneously, the surface material 10 is joined to the surface of the foamed metal body 2., so that the foamed metal panel P1 can be obtained.
