Abstract:
To provide a method for joining an FRP tube to a flange fitting for a polymer bushing, realizing a joining part satisfactory in both strength and airtightness.
In a method for joining an FRP tube 1 to a flange fitting 2 for a polymer bushing comprising the FRP tube 1, an outer cladding made up of a trunk part as well as a plurality of sheds provided on the periphery of the FRP tube 1, and the flange fitting 2 provided on an end part of the FRP tube 1, the surface roughness Ra, at least, of an inner circumferential surface of an insertion hole 3 in the flange fitting 2 in which the FRP tube 1 is inserted is adapted to be 1 to 10 μm, and then the flange fitting 2 is shrinkage-fitted into the FRP tube 1 with an adhesive agent between.
