In this method for laser beam machining of a decorative article such as an ornament, an article 5 to be machined, made of a fragile material or resin, such as a gem or glass, is irradiated by a laser means 3 under a computer control 2, in a manner of single point concentration, from one or a plurality of directions, so that three-dimensional machining be applied thereto. Thereby a decorative article 8, 9 such as an ornament is obtained.
