To provide a method of laying a drainage pipe preventing the drainage pipe from being pulled out together with an outer pipe of a double pipe and/or being twisted upon pulling out the outer pipe, when the drainage pipe is laid in a hole, drilled by using the double pipe, to drain water.

The method of laying the drainage pipe includes: a drilling process drilling a hole in the ground G with a drilling pipe; a drainage pipe insertion process inserting the drainage pipe 4 in the drilling pipe 2; and a drilling pipe pulling-out process pulling out the drilling pipe 2 while rotating the same. In the drilling pipe pulling-out process, a linear member 24 is connected to a front end of the drainage pipe 4 and a front end side of the linear member 24 is fixed. After tensile force is applied to the linear member 24, the drilling pipe is pulled out.
