PURPOSE: To manufacture a wheel-like product for automobile satisfying both of designing and lightening by withdrawing the horizontal surface of a recessed shape annular groove from the horizontal surface of the center part of a disk and forming the annular groove shallow.

CONSTITUTION: The horizontal surface 21d of the recessed shape annular groove 21e formed at the side outer peripheral surface of the disk in a rim base part 21b at the connecting part of the rim part 21a and the disk part 21c, is withdrawn from the horizontal surface 21f of the center part of the disk part 21c and the annular groove 21e is formed shallow. By using a metallic mold for forming the wheel-like product so as to form an excess thickness part in the rim base part 21b, molten metal in an injection sleeve is cast into the metallic mold by pushing up with a plunger tip. Then, after flowing the molten metal as radial-state in a part corresponding to the disk part, the molten metal is filled up in the rim corresponding part. Thereafter, by cooling the metallic mold, the solidification is progressed to obtain the wheel product 22. The excess thickness part in the rim base part 21b of this product 22 is removed from the inner peripheral direction of the rim part by machining.
