To provide a method for locating a partial discharge position of a gas-insulated switchgear, which is capable of locating a partial discharge position by easy analysis of a partial discharge signal using a low-cost structure, and a device for the same.
The inside of a hybrid-type gas-insulated switchgear 20 is divided into gas sections 8a, 8b, and 8c by insulating spacers 4a and 4b, and partial discharge sensors 10a, 10b, and 10c are provided therein. Since each gas section is connected to a small-diameter tank having a diameter reduced by disposition of instrument current transformers 6a and 6b the insulating spacers 4a and 4b, the gas sections can be considered to be connected by a low-cut filter (high-pass filter) due to a cut-off frequency determined by the diameter of the small-diameter tank. By comparing a frequency component of an output signal from each partial discharge sensor with the cut-off frequency as a standard, it is possible to determine in which gas section partial discharge occurs.
