Abstract:
To provide a method for lowering an amount of carbon in fly ash resulting from combustion of the coal.
This additive and method for reducing the carbon and the fly ash are based on the combustion of a mixture of the coal and a manganese-containing compound. The manganese compound is mixed with the coal before a combustion chamber or in the combustion chamber. The manganese compound may be an inorganic or organometallic compound. The organometallic compound includes methyl cyclopentadienyl manganese tricarbonyl.
