To provide a method and a machine with which the surface soil of a non-plowed field is plowed shallow for fixed depth such as several centimeters, a sowing groove for fixed depth is dug while smoothing off and ground-leveling of ruggedness on the surface, and seeds can be sown there.
While facing a motive force rotary pawl 2, a laterally long rolling pressure roller 9 corresponding to the width of ground-leveling is provided so as to freely set the relative height, ground-leveling is performed by the motive force rotary pawl 2, and a reference sowing face is set by rolling the surface of prepared ground with pressure while using the rolling pressure roller 9. Next, the sowing groove for prescribed depth is prepared on this face by a groove cutter 15 and seeds are sown. The motive force rotary pawl 2 is strongly and stably held on the backside by the rolling pressure roller 9 of wide ground width so as not to sink down, the depth of plowing is kept constant, and the depth of the sowing groove is kept constant as well.
