To accurately and efficiently carry out machining a cylindrically inner circumferential face provided on a work-piece, such as finish machining for the inner circumferential face of a bore formed on a cylinder block.
The machining method for finishing the inner circumferential face of the above bore includes boring machining, rough honing machining and finish honing machining the inner circumferential face of the bore on the cylinder block by turns. After the above boring machining, the cylindricity of the bore (the shape of the inner circumferential face) is measured, an error of the cylindricity is estimated from its measured result, a rough honing machining condition is established so that this error can be corrected, and the rough honing machining is carried out based on this established condition.
