Abstract:
To provide a mold member-machining method in which a molten remained layer (machined transformation layer) of a part having a minute shape of a mold member with a minute discharge machining shape is uniformly accurately removed, and life prolongation as well as functional enhancement are achieved.
The molten remained layer formed on the surface 26 of a discharge-machined part 12 in the mold member 1 is removed by using a tool 70 produced by a wire discharge-grinding method by which the minute tool having high machining accuracy and high hardness can be produced. Since the molten remained layer formed at a machined portion by discharge machining is removed using the tool, the molten remained layer is uniformly and highly accurately removed.
