Abstract:

To provide a method for magnetizing a cylindrical magnet in which cogging torque does not increase when it is built in the rotor of a motor even if an uneven part of orientation occurs in the circumferential surface of the cylindrical magnet, and variation state of cogging torque can be prevented from worsening.

In the method for magnetizing a cylindrical magnet 10a having a plurality of poles in the circumferential direction on the circumferential surface where uneven parts of orientation exist in the radial direction on the circumferential surface, the cylindrical magnet 10a is magnetized such that the uneven parts of orientation in the radial direction are arranged between the plurality of poles.
