Abstract:
PURPOSE:To maintain the high descaling capacity of an aq. sodium sulfate soln. as the neutral-salt electrolytic bath for descaling a stainless steel strip. CONSTITUTION:An aq. sodium sulfate soln. prepared by mixing an aq. sodium hydroxide soln. and an aq. sulfuric acid soln. is opportunely supplied to an electrolytic bath consisting of an aq. sodium sulfate soln. and used for descaling a stainless steel strip by keeping so as to be the sodium sulfate concn. at 100-300g/l, the pH at 6-8, the liq. temp. at 70-90 deg.C, the chromate ion concn. at <=50g/l and the sludge concn. at <=5g/l.
