PURPOSE: To make a minimized carburetor easy to be assembled in a simple way by first extruding a length of material and then cutting a carburetor body of a predetermined length from the extrusion, fixing a fuel bowl on the body and forming a through passage in the body.
CONSTITUTION: Aluminum material is extruded into an extrusion having a cross-section extending in the same shape along an axis by means of an extrusion die, a desired carburetor body 10 is obtained by cutting a predetermined length from the extrusion. The extrusion is formed to comprise a flat base portion 12, a through bore 14, a protrusion 16 and a top portion 18. A fuel bowl assembly 54 formed of molded plastic material is arranged on the flat base portion 12, and fixed to the body 10 by a spring clip 98 so that a carburetor assembly 54 is completed. A venturi member 40 having a nozzle slot 50 and a throttle valve 58 are arranged in the through bore 14 of the carburetor body 10.
