Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a printing plate which is excellent in engraving image quality and printing image quality and having stable performance even when it is consecutively processed for a long time and to make it suitable for forming an image by scanning exposure by the use of a laser, etc.
CONSTITUTION: By using an electrophotographic photosensitive body 11 provided with a transfer layer 12 which can be removed by chemical reaction treatment, contains thermoplastic resin having a specified polymer component, and can be peeled as an uppermost layer, and provided with a photoconductive layer 2 adjacent to the transfer layer 12, whose surface has peelable property, a toner image 3 is formed on the transfer layer 12 by electrophotographic process, the toner image 3 is thermally transferred to a material to be transferred 16 having the hydrophilic surface to which planographic printing can be performed at the time of printing together with the transfer layer 12, and the transfer layer 12 of the material 16 to which the image is transferred is removed by the chemical reaction treatment so as to make the electrophotographic engraving printing plate.
