PURPOSE: To provide an abrasive finishing tool and a method for making the same characterized tool by which such secondary works becomes unnecessary as trimming of a brush face and caulking or swaging of the lip of a cup and the like, which are usually necessary because a distribution and a density of filaments become unequal when a ring, a sleeve, a pin or a key is used as an anchor to fix a bent filament bundle, such as hair pins, to the cup of a shank.
CONSTITUTION: A closely coiled strap 34 made by heating and rolling a strap of an abrasive containing plastic material is driven into the bottom interior surface 54 of a cup element, 44 and 48, where an adhesive 60 is coated, and then fixed. Upon curing of the adhesive, the opposite or outer end face 36 of the one end face 38 which is secured to the bottom interior surface becomes the working face.
