Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate fuel consumption by registering and adjusting a customer number, the quantity of gas supply and a traveling distance from the preceding gas supply in a cash register in the case of selling fuel to a customer in a gas station.
SOLUTION: A customer 1 using a gas station previously registers an ID number and a customer number in a storage device 3. At the time of selling fule to the customer in the gas station, the customer number, the quantity of gas supply and a traveling distance from the preceding gas supply are registered in a POS 2 and adjusted. Fuel consumption data are calculated from the registered gas supply quantity and the traveling distance data and the calculated data are stored in a corresponding customer number area of a storage device 3 for a fixed period together with the gas supply quantity and the traveling distance. These data are periodically collected in a host 5 together with the data of other customers. The host 5 calculates the fuel consumption of each vehicle sort from the collected customer data and the data stored in the device 3 are updated through the POS 2. Consequently the proper fuel consumption and operation management of each vehicle sort can be attained.
