To provide a method for manufacturing an adhesive cover body for reliably applying a pad onto a prescribed position in an adhesive tape raw fabric.
This method for manufacturing the adhesive cover body comprises a process for forming adhesive tapes 11 by successively forming a plurality of ventilation holes 12, 12 ... at an every fixed area A in the belt shape adhesive tape raw fabric 10 to be fed in the lengthwise direction, successively attaching the pads 21 onto the prescribed positions in the respective areas A, cutting the adhesive tape raw fabric 10 by a range including the area A. Registration marks 13 constituted of a through-hole larger than the ventilation holes 12 are obtained at a fixed interval in places without the adhesive tapes 11 of the adhesive tape raw fabric 10 formed therein in a stage where the pads 21 are not attached onto the adhesive tape raw fabric 10. The pads 21 are attached onto the adhesive tape raw fabric 10 by the use of a signal from a sensor 2 such as a phototube for detecting the registration marks 13.
