To install a heat insulation material readily in a short time and suppress deterioration in the heat insulation function.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing an air conditioner includes: a heat insulation material installing step of installing a small diameter heat insulation material (24) to an auxiliary piping rear part (21b) by passing the auxiliary piping rear part (21b) through a cylindrical hole of the small diameter heat insulation material (24); and a connection step of performing blazing or welding to the auxiliary piping rear part (21b) for connecting to an auxiliary piping front part (21a) after the heat insulation material installing step.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
