PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel friction adjustment material that is a friction adjustment material used for a friction material and can impart excellent wear resistance to a friction material by alleviating aggression against an opposite material, and a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: Alpha-alumina particles for friction material having grains and an average grain size of the grains of 150 to 1000 nm.
