To provide a method for manufacturing an aluminum alloy plate capable of preventing porosity coarsening in the central part of the plate arising in the initial period of hot rolling by a simple method without using complicated equipment.
The aluminum alloy plate with a final plate thickness of 100 to 460 nm is manufactured by subjecting a dissolved aluminum alloy to degassing treatment of 0.2 cc/100 g in the content of gaseous hydrogen in a degassing treatment step of reducing the amount of the gaseous hydrogen in the dissolved aluminum alloy; applying homogenization treatment of a holding time for 1 to 10 hours to a slab at a holding temperature of 470 to 530C; applying a plurality of times of rolling passes to the slab, and rolling the slab at one time rolling with draft () [={(H1-H2)/H1}100%] of 7%, wherein the plate thickness after rolling is defined as (H2) with respect to the plate thickness (H1) prior to rolling, and repeating the rolling several times, in a rolling step.
