To provide a method for manufacturing an aluminum alloy plate for a lithographic printing plate that can obtain the aluminum alloy plate for the lithographic printing plate uniform in surface composition and can manufacture a support for the lithographic printing plate without a surface failure.
The method for manufacturing the aluminum alloy plate 200 for the lithographic printing plate is carried out by a continuous casting method of supplying molten aluminum alloy between a pair of cooling rollers through a molten metal supply nozzle and carrying out rolling while coagulating the molten aluminum alloy by the pair of cooling rollers. In a container 6 for supplying the molten aluminum alloy 100 to the molten metal supply nozzle 7, the vertical amplitude of the liquid level of the molten aluminum alloy existing inside the container is set to 10 mm or less, and the container with an upper opening area of 50×50 (cm2) or more is used as a means for setting the vertical amplitude of the liquid level of the molten aluminum alloy existing in the container, to 10 mm or less.
