To prevent a lubricating polymer from jutting out from the side end surfaces of inner and outer rings of an angular ball bearing due to a temperature rise and an axial load; to provide the angular ball bearing filled with a lubricant-containing polymer having a low torque and less temperature rise, and to provide a manufacturing method thereof.
The angular ball bearing is composed of the inner ring 2, the outer ring 3, a rolling body 4, a cage 6 and the lubricant-containing polymer 5 disposed in the space formed thereby. The lubricant-containing polymer 5 is disposed so that its side end surface 7 locates inside the side end surfaces 8 and 9 of the inner and outer rings 2 and 3. A distance between the side end surface 7 and each side end surfaces 8, 9 is longer than both a maximum axial direction displacement of the angular ball bearing and each of radius of curvature of circular arc corners 10, 11 on the outer and inner peripheral faces of the inner and outer rings 2 and 3, respectively. Further, the lubricating polymer 5 is also disposed only in spaces between the cage 6 and a race way groove 3A of the outer ring 3 and between the cage 6 and a race way groove 2A of the inner ring 2 except at least portions 2B, 3B.
