Abstract:
To provide a method capable of manufacturing an aromatic polyamine in a high yield and with a high selectivity for 4,4'-MDA in the presence of a zeolite catalyst.
The method of manufacturing an aromatic polyamine (III) includes reacting compound (I) Ph-NR-CH2-NR-Ph and compound (II) Ph-NR-CH2-Ph-NRH (wherein R each independently represent a hydrogen atom, a methyl group, an ethyl group, 3-8C linear or branched alkyl group, 4-10C cycloalkyl group or 6-12C aryl group and n represents an integer of not less than 1) or their mixture in the presence of a compound containing a hydroxide group and a solid acid catalyst.
