PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress increase of a manufacturing cost due to cutting failure in an electrode.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a battery, includes: a cutting step of cutting an electrode precursor in which an active layer is provided onto a foil collector, and obtaining an electrode having a collector tab; and an electrode complex formation step of overlapping a plurality of electrodes, integrating a tab of each electrode, and obtaining an electrode complex. A step of selecting an incompatibility electrode having a poor appearance in a tab circumference or a compatibility electrode 2c without the poor appearance in the tab circumference and a shaping step of shaping the tab of the incompatibility electrode, and selecting, as a sub-compatible 2s, the incompatibility electrode in which a length Lof the tab obtained by cutting and shaping satisfies the following equality of L≥3/4 Lto a length Lof the tab in the compatibility electrode after the cutting step and before the electrode complex formation step. In the electrode complex formation step, the compatibility electrode 2c is only provided to a general region g from one end r to a center c in an overlapping direction of the electrode. The sub-compatible 2s is provided to an adjustment region a from the center c to the other end f in the overlapping direction of the electrode.
