To provide a method for manufacturing a belt having core wires having excellent adhesive properties of the wire with a body rubber and excellent productivity.

The method for manufacturing the belt having the core wires comprises a step of sequentially winding a canvas 1, an adhesive rubber sheet 2A, core wires 3 and a belt body rubber on a cylindrical die 8, a vulcanizing step, a cooling step, a releasing step, and a crosswise cutting step. In this method, the rubber sheet 2A is thick and has a low viscosity. A tension is applied to the wires 3. The wires 3 are spirally wound on the rubber sheet 2A so that the sheet parts 2a are extended from gaps between the wound parts of the adjacent wires 3 and 3. The extended sheet parts 2a are then applied by a roller and extended so that the sheet parts 2a completely surround the wires 3 and a belt body rubber is wound thereon.
