A method of manufacturing a bent article is provided for manufacturing a bent article with a bent cut surface by performing a cutting step in which the cut-length plate 4 which has cut surfaces 4a at one end and the other end in the longitudinal direction is formed by shearing the metal plate in the thickness direction and a bending step of bending the cut-length plate 4. In the method, the bending step is performed after performing a cut surface forming step in which the metal of burred parts 4a4 formed on the cut surfaces of the cut-length plate is caused to flow to the side of an uncut part 401 adjacent to the burred parts of the cut-length plate, thereby the metal of burred parts 4a4 is integrated into the metal of the uncut part 401.
