To simplify a step by automating an operation for inserting an unvulcanized hose intermediary body H3 into a bent mandrel 22 in the method.
The method has a chuck 25 for grasping an outer peripheral part of the hose intermediary body H3, and uses an insertion guide device 24 for moving the chuck 25 along the bent shape of the mandrel 22 by a drive part 24a. An insertion end part 22d of the mandrel 22 is aligned with an extrusion port 17a of a head 17, the hose intermediary body H3 is extruded from the extrusion port 17a of the head 17 so as to be externally mounted to the insertion end part 22d of the mandrel 22, and the hose intermediary body H3 is externally mounted to the mandrel 22 to be cut afterward by grasping the outer peripheral end part of the hose intermediary body H3 by the chuck 25 to move along the bent shape of the mandrel 22.
