Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binder composition for a power storage device, which enables the achievement of satisfactory dispersion stability and adhesion, and which enables the achievement of good uniform coatability in an electrode mixture for a power storage device.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a binder composition for a power storage device comprises: an emulsion polymerization step for causing the emulsion polymerization of a monomer mixture including a fluorine-containing vinyl monomer in the presence of an anionic emulsifier (A), an aqueous medium and a radical polymerization initiator, thereby obtaining a latex including a fluorine-containing polymer; and post-addition step for adding a nonionic emulsifier (B) to the latex.SELECTED DRAWING: None
