To provide a method of manufacturing a blade for electrophotographic equipment by which "burr" made on the cut surface of a holding body is prevented from getting mixed in a blade elastic body.

In a step for blanking the holding body 1 from a metallic plate by press working by using a male mold 3 and a female mold 4, whether the male mold 3 worn by the repetitive press working is replaced with a new one or the edge part thereof is ground is determined as follows. A ratio (a/b) of the length (a) of a sheared part 11 of a cut surface 10 of the holding body 1 blanked by the press working to the length (b) of a ruptured part 12 is used as reference, and when the value of the ratio exceeds 0.1857 (=65/35), the male mold 3 is replaced or the edge part thereof is ground.
