Abstract:

To provide a method for manufacturing and a manufacturing apparatus for white blast furnace slag particles by a dry granulation method that does not require a complicated step such as mixing sub source materials.

The method for manufacturing blast furnace slag particles utilizing a dry granulation method for molten blast furnace slag 4 using a slag granulator is characterized in that: the molten blast furnace slag is made to collide with a rotating granulation drum 3 having radial blades 3a and to fly in particle drops, while water vapor 2 is introduced to the position where the molten blast furnace slag collides with the granulation drum to foam the particle drops of the molten blast furnace slag in drops; and the foamed particle drops of the molten blast furnace slag are solidified by cooling to produce whitened blast furnace slag particles.
