Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture, at low cost, a brush in which one end of a lead wire is buried in a surface part of a high conductivity material that is on an opposite side of a slide contact surface and that is not joined by a low conductivity member.SOLUTION: In a first step, high conductivity material powder 6 is filled in a female die 1 from a first feeder 4, in a second step, the high conductivity material powder 6 and low conductivity material powder 8 are simultaneously filled in the female die 1 from a second feeder 5 to laminate layers of the high conductivity material powder 6 and layers of the low conductivity material powder 8 of the second feeder 5 so as to be mutually adjacent on surfaces of the layers of the high conductivity material powder 6 filled in the female die 1 in the first step, and in a third step, the layers of the high conductivity material powder 6 and the layers of the low conductivity material powder 8 in the female die 1 are compacted by an upper punch 2 and a lower punch 3, so that a lower end of a lead wire 13 suspended from the upper punch 2 is buried in the layers of the high conductivity material powder 6.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
