Abstract:
To provide a method which does not require correction of an outer periphery of a cam after a heat treatment and is extremely simpler than conventional methods.
In the method for manufacturing the cam by subjecting powder for sintering to temporary compression molding, then to temporary sintering, regular compression molding and regular sintering, followed by a heat treatment, the wall thickness in the radial direction of a base portion of the cam prior to the heat treatment is specified to ≥3.0 mm.
