Abstract:
To provide a method of manufacturing a can body by which a three-piece can is manufactured efficiently and at a low cost.
A can body is obtained by thinning a tubular metallic base stock and, next, cutting it into a prescribed length. It is preferable that the thickness of a tubular metallic material is 2-5 mm and the inside diameter is 40-95 mm. It is preferable that the thickness of the can body after thinning is 0.075-0.275 mm. Spinning, for example, is listed as a thinning method. After thinning, the can body is obtained by cutting into the length of one can with a cutting machine.
