Abstract:
To provide a manufacturing method by which a dense carbon film is efficiently formed using a simple method and apparatus.
The method of manufacturing the carbon film by an electrochemical process using a molten salt includes: (a) a step of preparing an electrolysis bath comprising the molten salt containing carbide ion (C22-); (b) a step of arranging a working electrode (anode) for forming the carbon film and a counter electrode (cathode) in the electrolysis bath; and (c) a step of forming the carbon film on the surface of the working electrode by energizing the working electrode to the counter electrode at a potential at which the carbide ion is oxidized.
