To provide a method for manufacturing a carbon-nanocomposite magnesium-alloy base material which is suitable for a carbon nanomaterial, while maintaining a stirring operation in a semi-melted state.
This manufacturing method comprises: a semi-melting step of heating a magnesium alloy to convert the alloy into a semi-melted state; the first stirring step of charging a carbon nanomaterial into the semi-molten magnesium alloy and stirring the mixture; and the second stirring step of obtaining the carbon-nanocomposite magnesium-alloy base material by stirring the semi-molten material into which the carbon nanomaterial has been charged completely, at a temperature which is in a temperature region for the alloy to be kept in a semi-melted state and is higher than that in the first stirring step.
