To stably manufacture a cast iron tube having uniform tube thickness in the longitudinal direction of the tube when the cast iron tube is manufactured using a centrifugal casting facility.
In a method for manufacturing the cast iron tube in the centrifugal casting facility 1, molten metal 10 is supplied into a metallic mold 2 loaded on a casting carriage 7 through troughs 4, 5 for pouring from a ladle 3 for casting and the metallic mold is shifted to the reverse side of the ladle for casting together with the casting carriage, and the molten metal is solidified in the metallic mold to manufacture the cast iron tube 11, the tube thickness in the cast iron tube to be manufactured is controlled by adjusting the shifting speed of the casting carriage loading the metallic mold in accordance with the casting period while pouring the molten metal from the ladle for casting so that the pouring quantity of the molten metal into the troughs for pouring becomes substantially constant.
