Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a color filter with which orientation defects caused by ruggedness formed by a coloring layer and a black matrix layer can be suppressed.
SOLUTION: The manufacturing method includes a step of forming a transparent conductive layer 500 having a prescribed pattern on a support 100, a step of forming a coloring layer 200 having red, green, and blue pixels 200C arrayed in a prescribed pattern, on the transparent conductive layer 500, and a step of forming a black matrix layer 300 in such a prescribed pattern that it is arranged between pixels 200C, and the coloring layer 200 and the black matrix layer 300 are patterned by exposure of a resist layer containing a pigment, and a layer to be exposed (the resist layer) and a photomask are arranged with a gap of 200μm to several mm between them in this exposure step.
