To provide the method of manufacturing a composition for forming a photoelectric conversion layer capable of manufacturing the composition for forming the photoelectric conversion layer capable of efficiently manufacturing the photoelectric conversion layer; to provide the composition for forming the photoelectric conversion layer manufactured by this method; to provide the method of manufacturing the photoelectric conversion element capable of simplifying a manufacturing process and suppressing the amount of dye used; to provide the photoelectric conversion element manufactured by this method, and to provide electronic equipment having the photoelectric conversion element.
A solar cell 1 has a substrate 2, a first electrode 3, a second electrode 6, a counter substrate 7, the photoelectric conversion layer 4 positioned on the first electrode 3 side between the electrodes 3, 6, and a hole transport layer 5 coming in contact with the photoelectric conversion layer 4. The photoelectric conversion layer 4 can be formed through a process obtaining aggregate particles by aggregating particles of electron transport material, a process carrying dye in the aggregate particles, and a process dispersing the aggregate particles carried with dye into a dispersion medium and obtaining the composition for forming the photoelectric conversion layer.
