Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automate without manual aid a series of such cyclic process of a shaft that paper with its leading end moistened by water or the like is wound on the surface of a heated shaft, that, after it is formed into a prescribed shape of paper roll with the shaft, the moistened state of the leading end of the paper is dried and that the shaft is then pulled out of the paper roll and heated again.
SOLUTION: A shaft 1 is preheated by a continuous heating device 2, and fed one by one successively onto a driving roll 7, 7 of a paper winding device 6. Paper P with the leading end moistened with water or the like is wound on the shaft, formed into a prescribed paper roll 12 with the shaft and cut. With the moistened leading end dried, the paper roll is pulled out of the shaft 1, which is again fed back into the continuous heating device 2 in an all automatic cyclic process of the shaft.
