To provide a method of manufacturing a cylindrical MEA, capable of cutting down manufacturing processes of the cylindrical MEA used for a gas decomposition device utilizing electrochemical reaction using a solid electrolyte, and reducing a manufacturing cost.
This method of manufacturing the cylindrical MEA formed by including a cylindrical solid electrolyte layer and a first electrode layer and a second electrode layer laminated and formed so as to hold the solid electrolyte layer from the inside and outside thereof includes a first molding process S103 for molding a first unbaked cylindrical portion forming the solid electrolyte layer or one of the electrode layers using a prescribed powder material, a second molding process S106 for molding a second unbaked cylindrical portion forming the solid electrolyte layer or the other one of the electrode layers on the inner peripheral part or the outer peripheral part of the first unbaked cylindrical portion using the prescribed powder material, and a baking process S109 for forming a baked cylindrical body by baking a cylindrical body equipped with the first unbaked cylindrical portion and the second unbaked cylindrical portion.
