To provide a method of manufacturing a display device wherein deterioration of view angle characteristics resulting from uneven thickness of organic layers, or brightness variations or chromaticity variations can be suppressed, and to provide a display device.
A red organic layer 16R is formed based on a theoretical thickness L satisfying (2L)/+/(2)=(m), and its thickness Ld is measured. Then, as to a green organic layer 16G and a blue organic layer 16B, a correction value (a) computed for every color based on the measured result of the thickness Ld of the red organic layer 16R is added to the theoretical value L for every color, and a set value La is thereby computed for every color. Subsequently, the green organic layer 16G and the blue organic layer 16B are formed based on the thickness of the set value La. The correction value (a) is computed so that the amounts of slippage Lr, Lg, Lb of the thickness of the red organic layer 16R, the green organic layer 16G, and the blue organic layer 16B from their theoretical values Lr, Lg, Lb satisfy Lr/Lr=Lg/Lg=Lb/Lb.
