Abstract:

To provide a method of manufacturing electric nickel for special shape plating, by which a part discolored to black does not occur on the base plate surface of an electrodeposited material even when plating is carried out with high current density to enhance productivity.

In the method of manufacturing electric nickel for special shape plating, a cathode whose surface is masked to obtain special shape electrodeposition and which has an electrodeposition part, is used, and a nickel chloride solution containing a sulfur source and having 68-95 g/L nickel concentration and pH2.4-4.0 is used as an electrolyte and current density is made 1,100-1,350 A/m2, to preferably satisfy a relation expressed by formula Y0.03X+35.63 when the current density is defined as X (A/m2) and the nickel concentration is defined as Y (g/L) in the nickel chloride solution.
