Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an electrode foil for aluminum electrolytic capacitor, with which an effective surface area can be expanded by uniforming the density of an electrolytic current between an aluminum foil, and to provide a negative plate.
SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing an aluminum electrolytic capacitor, in which an aluminum foil 1 is etched while it passes through between pairs of negative plates 2a and 2b in an electrolyte 3 by means of current supply rollers 5a and 5b, a d c current flowing between the negative plates 2a and 2b facing the aluminum foil 1 is blocked partly, using an electrically insulative materials 4a and 4b, for etching of the aluminum foil 1. Thus, the density of an electrolytic current in the electrolyte 3 is made uniform, thereby obtaining an electrode foil for aluminum electrolytic capacitor where an effective surface area is expanded.
