To provide a method for manufacturing an electrophoretic display and an electrophoretic display in which conduction between a first electrode provided on a first substrate and a second electrode provided on a second substrate is secured without carrying out a manual cleaning work.
The method includes: a step of preparing an EPD sheet 20 having a transparent sheet 21, a transparent electrode 22 provided on the transparent sheet 21, and a plurality of electrophoretic particles 26 provided on the transparent electrode 22; a step of forming a projection electrode 25 on a display control electrode 1 provided on a module substrate 10; and a step of bringing the projection electrode 25 into contact with the transparent electrode 22 by attaching the EPD sheet 20 to the module substrate 10 while the surface of the EPD sheet 20 where the electrophoretic particles 26 are provided is opposed to the surface of the module substrate 10 where a display control electrode 1 is provided.
